Friends of Saharan Rock Art
The AARS association aims to make known the extraordinary heritage carried by Saharan rock art: relicts paradoxically so present in a world today become exclusively mineral. Let us hope that these messages will last! Moved by a reasoned passion, we can contribute our support, which is totally disinteresteed, to the promotion and protection of one of humanity's oldest heritages. Concretely, AARS works to spread awareness, by the organization of meetings and by the diffusion of documents on Saharan rock art. AARS is a meeting place for all enthusiasts of Saharan rock art. AARS is rich with members present in many countries (Algeria, Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Guadeloupe, Hungart, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Réunion, Switzerland…). Your membership offers you the possibility of taking part in the annual meetings (in France, Italy, Germany), of publishing an article in the Cahiers de l'AARS, of showing documents on the AARS web site, of circulating information in the e-mailed diffusion list, of proposing a link with another web site… above all, membership contributes to raising the public's awareness and to protecting the sites.
